B.A.S.P deals in Mining, Crushing & Transporting of stone grits. This organization is the dream project of Mr. Agrawal, a visionary philanthropist who with this project wants to help build a nation that is self sufficient and progressive.

The Agrawal family is the whole owner of the company and the board comprises of about 8 family members including Mr. Raghunandan Agrawal, Mr. Anand Agrawal, Mr. Vijay Agrawal, Mrs. Manjula Agrawal, Mrs. Mamta Agrawal, Mrs. Nidhi Agrawal, Mrs. Narayani Devi. With the leadership of Mr. B.B.Agrawal as the Managing Director.

The organization provides employment to a major chunk of population in the industrial town of Obra. B.A.S.P. Limited has emerged as one of the most prominent plants in the region. The head office of the company is situated in the district of Sonbhadra, UP.

The enforcement inspector sits at Allahabad and all the wages provided are as per the rules and regulations that are laid down by the Government Of India . All sorts of medical and residential facilities are provided to all the employees. For the convenience of the nursing mother employees, Dai are hired and there is a community hall and a bathroom specifically for the purpose. Clean water is provided for drinking to all the employees.

To avoid any sort of accident due to pollution of the surroundings, latest technology for the control of pollution is being used that are once again in alignment with the guidelines of the Government. The Indian Explosives Act,2004 has been implemented and the license for the use of the explosives has been obtained under the said act.

The organization has further extended business as a transport firm which is mainly looking after the material transport .initially for the purpose of transportation trucks were hired and transport of the material was paid for. Then Agrawal family decided to further expand their business and provide employment to the people who were not suited for the mining and stone crushing activities. The decision proved to be very fruitful to the business as the company today has Around 50 Employees And owns more than 30trucks (10 wheelers). Each truck transports around 30-40 tonnes of the material as a result of which transportation cost is reduced to a large extent.

The company comes under the purview of various central laws as mining is not a part of state labor law. All the mining operations are carried out under the guidance and supervision of mining engineers. Two types of blasting is used at the company :

Manual Blasting – not more than 4 meters
Mechanical Blasting – not more than 8 meters
